Hailey's Wish is dedicated to making the Hailey's Wish Inclusive Playground at Christmas Tree Park the best that it can be! We know that families often travel long distances for inclusive play opportunities and we want to make sure your trip to our playground is worth the drive. Here's what's coming to the Hailey's Wish Inclusive Playground.

Percussion Play Outdoor Musical Instruments Coming this Spring!
We recently took a road trip to another playground to test out a specific rubber tile surfacing to ensure it was fully accessible. While at that playground, we saw some really cool musical playground components. These specially designed musical instruments make beautiful music that resonate unlike most musical playground components. We were reminded of the joy that can be experienced at the playground regardless of ability or age. The smile on Hailey's face that day spoke volumes. One of Hailey's greatest loves was music.
Since Hailey's passing we have received an outpouring of love and support from our family, friends and community. Thanks to the many generous memorial donations, we will be able to share Hailey's love of music with others. These new Percussion Play Outdoor Music Instruments will be installed at the Christmas Tree Park inclusive playground in spring 2026.
"Where words fail, music speaks" Hans Christian Andersen
Musical Instruments at inclusive playgrounds offer many benefits, including cognitive growth, motor skill development, and improved emotional regulation or expression. Participation in music activities breaks down social barriers for children of all abilities through engaging sensory experiences. Many of our children with disabilities are non-verbal and music can be a bridge to fill the silence and create common ground with friends. These social interactions mean so much to our children!
